Screw-A-Flat-Easy is a product designed by SAFE Performance Manufacturing’s owner, Ed Archuleta. Ed is an avid Fisherman, Hunter and Off-Road Adventurer. On a hunt back in the late 80’s Ed came down off the mountain and noticed his tire was going flat on his 3-wheeler. Also, being a carpenter and someone that can fix anything, he grabbed a carpenter screw out of his tool box and screwed it into his tire.
The next weekend and back on the hunt, a camping buddy of Eds told him he had a screw in his tire (as the friend didn’t know what happen last time). Noticing the screw held the air in the tire after Ed filled it, he drew up the tapered screw design, and Screw-A-Flat-Easy was born.
From there Ed formulated the perfect adhesive to give a solid bond that would meld with the tire. Shortly thereafter accessories were added and the complete ATV Tire Repair Kit was created.
